Choose the right canvas size

Use this guide to choose a canvas that suits your wall, furniture, and viewing distance. The measurements below are the finished canvas size shown in the product option.

Our most common sizes

• 30 × 40 cm (12 × 16 in) — a compact size for shelves, bedside walls, small offices, narrow spaces, or part of a gallery wall.
• 40 × 50 cm (16 × 20 in) — a versatile everyday size for bedrooms, hallways, home offices, and smaller living-room walls.
• 45 × 60 cm (18 × 24 in) — a balanced statement size for above a desk, console, chest of drawers, or smaller sofa.
• 50 × 76 cm (20 × 30 in) — a stronger focal point for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and wider walls.
• 60 × 91 cm (24 × 36 in) — our largest common single-canvas format for a bold feature wall or the space above a sofa or bed.

Special formats

Some artwork is also available in square or panoramic proportions, including 40 × 40 cm, 45 × 45 cm, 50 × 50 cm, 60 × 60 cm, 75 × 75 cm, 30 × 50 cm, 35 × 60 cm, 40 × 75 cm, and 50 × 90 cm. Choose the shape that best matches your wall and the artwork.

Triptychs and multi-panel sets

For options marked x2, x3, or 4 panels, the measurements refer to each canvas panel unless the product listing says otherwise. The number tells you how many panels are included.

Important for 4-panel artwork: the full display becomes much wider than one panel. Add the width of all four panels together, then add the gaps you want between them. For example, four 60 cm-wide panels already need about 240 cm before spacing is added. Measure the full wall area, including the gaps, before ordering.

For triptychs and other multi-panel sets, leave a small, even gap between panels. Use painter's tape to mark the full outside edges on your wall so you can see the real finished size.

How to choose your size

1. Measure the wall space where you want the artwork to hang.
2. Use painter's tape to mark the outside edges of the size you are considering. This makes the final scale much easier to imagine.
3. For artwork above furniture, choose a width that feels balanced with the furniture below it and leave comfortable space around the artwork.
4. For a gallery wall, the 30 × 40 cm or 40 × 50 cm sizes are usually the easiest to combine with other pieces.
5. For a feature wall, the 50 × 76 cm or 60 × 91 cm sizes create more visual impact.

Inches and centimetres

Product options show both inches and centimetres. Centimetres are the production measurement. Small differences in displayed conversions or product mockups can occur because of rounding.

Hanging your canvas
