Our Story

From Passion to Craftsmanship

My journey with canvas printing began over a decade ago in the UK. As a professional photographer, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for image quality, composition and the subtle ways natural light interacts with a landscape. For me, a photograph is never just an image on a screen. It is a window into a place, a moment and a feeling.

I started my first print shop with a simple mission: to take beautiful imagery and transform it into carefully made canvas art that brings everyday spaces to life.

Over the years, I refined every aspect of the process, from colour calibration and detailed canvas printing to hand-stretching gallery wraps with care and precision.

Resilience & A Fresh Perspective

When COVID disrupted everyday life, the landscape for small creative businesses changed dramatically. Like many independent makers, I faced tough choices and ultimately made the difficult decision to step back and close that chapter.

But the passion stayed with me. Moving to Portugal offered a fresh horizon, both personally and creatively. The golden cliffs of the Algarve, the rich colours of the Douro Valley, the charm of historic villages and the untamed Atlantic coastline reignited my creative drive. Inspired by this country and the broader Mediterranean lifestyle, I knew it was time to rebuild.

Today, Portugal Canvas Co represents a new chapter built on years of hands-on experience, careful craftsmanship and a renewed purpose. Every piece in our collection, from two-, three- and four-panel displays to classic single-panel prints, is selected and produced with attention to detail.
